Important Update: Sonoma’s modified Tuesday Night Market is being expanded to include Farmers and Agricultural, Packaged Food and Artisan Vendors.  The market will be located in the “Horseshoe” in front of Sonoma City Hall from 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm starting on May 4th.

What Can You Expect

The modified Tuesday Night Market will open  for the 2021 season on May 4, 2021.  Farmers markets are an important means of getting fresh healthy food into the hands of our citizens and a way to support our local and regional agricultural economy.

Shoppers will no longer be required to enter and exit through controlled entry points and there is no requirement to show proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test to shop. Health and safety measures that align with the latest Public Health practices, including wearing a facial covering within the market shopping zone, remain in place. 

 

We ask that you please follow these guidelines to keep our market safe:

  • Stay home if you are sick.

  • Wear your face covering at all times while in the designated Market shopping area.

  • Practice social distancing by maintaining a 6-foot distance from others.

  • Sanitize your hands before entering the market. Hand sanitizer will be provided.

  • Do not handle produce or products, and food sampling is not allowed. Vendors must bag purchases for the customer.

While Market managers regret that the necessary restrictions will exclude prepared food vendors who will be missing out on important income because of the modification to the market, this decision was necessary to ensure protection of public health by limiting the types of market vendors.

 

And while the community has always gathered for the Market as a fun summer event, it is not yet known when we can return to that tradition.

The City of Sonoma and Sonoma Valley Chamber of Commerce are welcoming our non-profit entities to participate in the Market. Due to the Public Health Restrictions we have a limited amount of space for tables, and it will be handled on a first come first serve basis. Each non-profit is required to complete an application and provide insurance documentation in advance of being allowed to participate in the Market.
